Everything between my diaphragm and my pelvic bowl is in AGONY. Muscles, guts, everything. Walking to the bathroom and back almost made me cry. Greeeat. [11 May 2008|05:06pm] noirrosaleen [ mood | sick ] So last night just before bed I started feeling nauseated. I got to sleep, hoping it would be gone in the morning. Around 5AM I'm woken up by a really bad wave of nausea. I go camp out in the bathroom for about an hour, hoping I'm wrong...and eventually bring up my dinner (and possibly lunch) from yesterday. Unsurprisingly my first act afterward is to find mouthwash. My second act is to call in sick for work, hoping that I actually am sick and it wasn't a one-time fluke because DAMN I'd be pissed if it was. My second time waking up was around 3PM, feeling a little stomach-bruised but otherwise ok. I risked some chicken soup and went back to rereading Girl Genius. My stomach is bothering me again. Guess it was a good thing to call in sick after all...I'm going to go lie down for awhile. So much for making Mom dinner for Mother's Day.... 1 comment|post comment

YAY FILES! [06 May 2008|01:59pm] noirrosaleen [ mood | accomplished ] [ music | "Creepy Crawler," Zombie Girl ] So, I just uploaded all my recovered files onto my new computer. YAYS. (Yea, Daris built me a new computer out of Temeraire's old computer and the remains of the other two we had lying around the day after my party. THAT was exciting; he got pissy as usual when building computers, I caught his mood, then later went into a hormone-induced bit of hysterics, had a fight with Daris because he simply refused to believe that I meant it when I said I wanted to be left alone because I was currently incapable of rational thought, and ran to estelofimladris's house to cry and fume and watch Dr Who and Torchwood, which made me feel better. But anyway...) Unfortunately the guy who recovered my files didn't get the music off of it, which means I'm going to have to bribe Daris to crack the case again and put the old hard drive in the slave slot so I can pull my music off of it. Grr... But! This means I could FINALLY update my icons, which makes me VERY happy. Finally got to pull the Yule icons down (I mean come on, it's fucking MAY!), stole a couple from estelofimladris to put up, and have 14 different icons up now. My current default is a Dr Who icon...maybe not terribly appropriate for current events, but I LIKES it, and I *have* been there, so... Plus: I am now installing World of Warcraft again! So, to all my friends who have recently joined up, I need server info, so I know where the hell you all are! Oh, and I would like to report that not a single person called me for my birthday. Y'all suck. :P (Well, Sirius did, but that's because we share a birthday, and he doesn't read this anyway.) 5 comments|post comment

Party! [03 May 2008|03:06pm] noirrosaleen [ mood | content ] [ music | "I can't Decide," Scissor Sisters ] So, mah partay: Met people to see Iron Man at 7:20 in Corte Madera, and it fucking ROCKED. Best comic book adaptation yet, most of my friends were saying! I loved it. After that, almost the entire crew came back to my house, and there was laid-back socializing till about 3:30AM. People came, people went, Catchphrase and Munchkin were played; futurefound made me a marbled chocolate cheesecake, Sebastien got me a shirt that says "shiny object" on it with a shiny blue star in the center, estelofimladris gave me three mix CDs of Dr Who and Torchwood-themed songs, and strawberry_loli got me stripy fuzzy socks (FINALLY! SQUEE!), party-themed bodywash (cake, ice cream, and icing), and two bars of Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate, plain and mint. The party was a little more subdued than I was hoping (perhaps because it was a dry party?), but overall it was fun. Just sad there was no dancing; a good half the party had left by the time my swingdance friend had shown up, and the energy was really low. I will make up for it by going swingdancing at Swing Goth on Tuesday. I have Death By Cake here. We bought two birthday cakes (turtle and carrot) because a large number of people was supposed to show up - 6 people either made their excuses or simply didn't show up - and then with futurefound's contribution, there is an incredible amount of cake left. I'll probably bring in the remains to work tomorrow to make everybody else fat, too. As a matter of fact, there's hummus for days, too...maybe I'll bring that in as well...
